These two Cornwall holiday cottages are a conversion of an old stone built shippen (barn) in the grounds of Berrio Mill. Berrio Mill nestles in the peace and tranquillity of the undiscovered Lynher valley, West Cornwall. Approached via a quiet country lane, these holiday cottages have been created for those who really want to escape from it all.

Melyn Cottage (2 Person) and Gwenyn Cottage (4 Person)

Our guests have complete access to the fields, footpaths, river, streams and woodlands of Berrio Mill. Here we have an 8½ acre smallholding with sheep, chickens and honey bees. Guests are also free to fish for salmon, sea trout and brown trout along our 600 yard river bank or just take a picnic and let the herons and kingfishers do the fishing for you!

Cornwall's famous Bodmin Moor is just a 3 mile drive away with Kit Hill 5 miles and Dartmoor 15 miles. From your cottage you have the opportunity to spend the day exploring the local scenery with footpaths and circular walks through woodland and meadows and along the River Lynher. There is an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants in the surrounding Cornish villages and towns. A little further afield there are a wealth of traditional coastal villages with Looe to the south and the sensational beaches and coves on the north coast just 45 minutes away. Some of the many attractions within the area include Lanhydrock House and Gardens, The Eden Project, Cotehele House, Siblyback Lake offering a variety of water sports, Dobwalls Theme Park, Carnglaze Cavern, St Mellion Golf Course, Sterts Theatre, etc.

From Callington take the A388 Launceston road and on the edge of town fork left into South Hill Road where Golberdon & South Hill are signposted. Continue through the hamlet of Maders & after another 1/4 mile, turn left where signposted Golberdon.

Continue through Golberdon village and down hill to Kerney Bridge. Turn right before bridge signposted Mornick and Berrio Mill is on the left hand side. (after 200 metres). Map Link
